Wissam Asaad

Wissam Asaad (Damascus, 1976) lives in Damascus. He has a degree in civil engineering. Asaad was a cartoonist for a Syrian economic weekly (2006-2012), for the magazine Juhaynah Syria (2007-2012), and for trade and business magazines (2009-2012). He received the first prize in the 2nd International Cartoon Contest Sinaloa in Mexico in 2013 and was one of the ten winners of the 15th International Editorial Cartoon Competition in 2015.
